Meet Program Specialist Nancy Molina

Office of Investigations - Crime Analysis Unit

Program Specialist Nancy Molina began her career with the Sacramento Police Department in 2019 as an Administrative Analyst in the Office of Investigations. During her time in Major Crimes, Nancy was the lead on a variety of projects, including the rollout of an analytical software solution that has helped support complex cases, the creation and design of the department's first Soft Room for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, and coordinator of the Gang Violence Suppression Grant that works in collaboration with nonprofits, school districts, Probation, District Attorney’s Office and the Sacramento Police Department to support youth in our city.

In 2023, she was promoted to her supervisory role in the Crime Analysis Unit. In this role, she supports the department’s data driven policing approach, strategic operations, and violent crime reduction strategy. Nancy’s team provides analytical support to operations, investigations, city partners, and outside agencies.

Nancy has been an active member of the Northern Valley Crime & Intelligence Analysts Association and International Association of Crime Analysts. Her professional development classes include Intelligence Analysis training from the Foundation of Intelligence Analysis, PLX Social Media Monitoring and Analysis from PenLink, and Advanced Analytical Methods from the International Association of Crime Analysts.

Nancy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communication from the University of California, Davis.
