On June 2, 2026, a municipal election will be held in the City of Sacramento.
Important Dates for the 2026 City Council Election
The period in which prospective candidates may receive and file nomination packages will open February 9, 2026, and end March 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. The California Elections Code prohibits nomination documents from being distributed or received before or after these dates.
