The City of Sacramento is committed to doing everything it can to address the hardships faced by unsheltered individuals and families while working to protect the health and safety of our communities.

Recent work

The City's commitment

In recent years, the City has taken significant steps to respond to the ongoing homelessness crisis. This includes the launch of new shelters and programs, the establishment of the Department of Community Response, the signing of the historic partnership with the County of Sacramento to better coordinate local response to homelessness and the interdepartmental efforts from the City’s Incident Management Team.

In collaboration with its partners, the City is working diligently to provide services, support and solutions in our community.
