Dan Wiseman
Meet Lieutenant Dan Wiseman
Office of Operations – South Command
Lieutenant Dan Wiseman grew up in the Bay Area and later moved to the Sacramento area. He earned a degree in culinary arts before completing his bachelor’s degree in emergency services management.
Dan joined the Sacramento Police Department in 2007 and has worked a variety of assignments throughout the department, including patrol, Regional Transit Police Services, and as an ABC Liaison Officer. In 2022, he was promoted to Sergeant, serving as a Patrol Sergeant, Backgrounds Sergeant in the Personnel Division, and later as the Department’s Public Information Office Sergeant (PIO). He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2026 and is currently serving as a Watch Commander in the South Command.
Lieutenant Wiseman is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, golfing, and spending time with his family.
