James Harrington
Meet Captain James Harrington
Office of Operations – Support Services Division
Captain James Harrington began his career with the Sacramento Police Department in 2002. He currently serves as Captain of the Support Services Division, managing the Communications Center and the Records Section. He has also been a Watch Commander for East and South Commands, and he has worked as a Detective, in Crime Scene Investigations, Internal Affairs, Professional Standards, and as a member of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team.
James is a U.S. Army Veteran and has also served as an adjunct professor of Emergency Services Management. He is a graduate of Boston University with a master’s degree in Criminal Justice.
