Permits for YPCE
The City of Sacramento's Youth, Parks and Community Enrichment (YPCE) Department is committed to ensuring all community members have equitable access to parks.
Love Your Park!
Sacramento’s parks are places to gather, play, relax and connect. The Love Your Park! campaign encourages everyone to enjoy our parks responsibly so they stay safe, clean and welcoming for all. Whether you are planning a picnic, meeting friends, bringing the family out for the day or organizing a larger gathering, a little preparation goes a long way. Before you head out, take a moment to learn the rules, plan ahead and help protect the park experience for your neighbors and community.
Groups of 50+ people staying for 30+ minutes requires a permit.
Amplified sound requires a permit.
Vending in parks requires a permit. Locate "Sidewalk Vending".
View dog parks where pups can be off-leash.
Dont forget:
- Respect the park, respect each other. Be a good neighbor.
- No smoking in City parks.
- Alcohol is prohibited in City parks unless it is specifically allowed as part of a permitted special event.
- Portable barbecues may only be used in designated picnic areas.
- Always clean up after your pet.
- Leave no trace. Take what you bring and dispose of waste properly. If trash bins are full, bag waste and place it neatly next to the cans.
Need help while at a park:
If you see a problem during your visit, the fastest way to report issues such as overflowing trash, maintenance concerns or noise is to call 311.
For non-urgent public safety concerns, call 916-808-5471. In an emergency or for a crime in progress, call 911 immediately. Park Rangers also patrol park areas and respond to service requests received through 311.
