Meet Supervising Dispatcher Baron

Supervising Dispatcher Beth Baron began her career with the Sacramento Police Department in 2002. During her career, Beth has served as a Communication Training Officer (CTO), and as an instructor for Officer Safety for Dispatchers. As a Dispatcher II, Beth served as the Training Facilitator, as well as being a member of the CAD Sustainment Team, supporting the Communications Technical Infrastructure and systems maintenance.
Beth was an active member of the Sacramento Police Department’s Tactical Dispatch Team, assisting specialty units such as SWAT and CNT during hostage call outs and special operations. She was selected as CTO of the Year in 2007, and Call Taker of the Year in 2008. Beth also served as Civilian Executive Officer of the Sacramento Police Officers Association from 2006 to 2014.

Beth promoted to Dispatcher III in 2013. In 2017, Beth Baron was selected as the Communications Division’s Academy Training Coordinator, where she was responsible for recruiting, hiring and overseeing the training and progression of all new dispatchers. Beth completed the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Center Manager Certification Program in 2018. She attended the Police Union Leadership Seminar at Harvard Law School as part of their labor and work life program in 2009, and possesses an associate’s degree in Business Software Design.
Beth comes from a large family of several sisters, a brother, many nieces and nephews and enjoys her free time with friends and family.
