Meet Senior Police Records Supervisor Michelle Bays

Senior Police Records Supervisor Michelle Bays began her career with the Sacramento Police Department in 2001 as a Police Records Specialist. Michelle chose a career at the Sacramento Police Department because of her admiration of her husband’s 29-year career in law enforcement. She is proud to work along with the hard-working staff in the Records Division.

Michelle has attended the Frontline Leadership Course in 2008 which provided her with education allowing her to promote to Records Supervisor in May of 2013, and Senior Supervisor September 2020. She is proud of her work on the preparation of the Uniform Crime Report to DOJ/FBI, BRAZO’s admin, being part of the SPD sustainment team, and a CLEARS member.

Michelle was able to go back to college after focusing on her family and graduated from Sacramento State University in May of 2019 with a bachelor of science degree. Michelle enjoys spending time hanging out by the pool with her husband, three sons, two granddaughters, and her dog Zelda.
