About Karina Talamantes
Councilmember Karina Talamantes is a public servant, small business owner, and first-generation Latina. As the daughter of working-class parents Magdalena & Reginaldo, Karina witnessed the hard work and sacrifice needed to reach goals. Karina has become a tireless public servant who knows even minor efforts can yield big results. She proudly represents the communities of District 3 of the City of Sacramento - Natomas, Northgate, and Gardenland.

District 3 borders District 1 to the north, District 2 to the east, and District 4 to the south. It’s northern border follows Arena Blvd, Gateway Park Blvd, and Interstate 80. The eastern border with District 2 follows Western Ave, Arden Garden Connector, Northgate Blvd and the Del Paso Blvd Exit on Hwy 160. The southern border with District 4 follows the American River and continues along the Sacramento river. It’s western border follows the City boundary north roughly along Interstate 80 and the West Drainage Canal.
