About the Blue Envelope Program
The Blue Envelope Program is designed to enhance communication between public safety officials and individuals with a condition or disorder who may benefit from additional awareness or accommodations.
Participants have the option to present a Blue Envelope during interactions with public safety officials. The envelope can contain essential documentation, such as personal identification, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and emergency contact information. Other Blue Envelope-branded items that participants may display include:
- Lanyard
- Keychain
- Bracelet
- Sticker
Participation in this program is completely voluntary and self-implemented, with no associated registry. All items are available at no cost and may be picked up at the Hall of Justice during our Public Counter's regular service hours, or at our Richards Police Facility by calling ahead at 916-808-4500.
