Permit Services

Last day for assessor to process changes to parcel maps for the 2024-25 tax roll is Friday, April 26, 2024. See details below.

To ensure annual roll close operations run smoothly, the deletion and creation of assessor parcels must be halted while the parcel data and files are finalized. Therefore, Friday, April 26, 2024, is the deadline to process recorded map documents that require the deletion/creation of assessor parcels. Maps recorded after April 26, 2024, will be held for processing until the end of June, after all roll close system operations are complete.

Note: The exception to this will be any new parcels required for transfers that occur before Friday, May 31, 2024. These parcels will be created for the Sunday, June 30, 2024, Roll Close Date.

The permit services department is the main resource for customers seeking a building permit. The first step in the process is finding the service that fits your project. Almost all permits must be submitted online through the citizen permit portal.

A building permit is required for projects such as new construction, additions, tenant improvements, pools, spas, signs, remodeling, and work on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Reminder: work started before a building permit is issued is subject to a penalty fee.
