The City is working in partnership with the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District to expand the Our Community Car Share Program. Income-qualified residents near the car share sites will be able to reserve an electric vehicle for personal errands at an affordable rate. The goal is to provide mobility options to households without many options as well as to introduce residents to electric vehicles in order to overcome misconceptions about the technology.
Qualified car share operators can apply for special parking privileges in the City’s right-of-way. Car sharing supports the City’s sustainability goals and is one component of our effort to promote multi-modal transportation options. Complete the application to learn more
