Residential Permit Parking (RPP)

Residential Permit Applications

Applications with missing documentation will not be processed. Please read the descriptions of the required forms of documentation prior to selecting any application form.

Applications are required for:

  • New or renewal permit requests
  • Residents who move to a new address within the same permit area as the previous address. This includes moving to another unit in a complex or community. 
  • Residents who move to a new address in a different permit area.   
  • Residents who change license plates or purchase new vehicles (for Virtual Vehicle Permits)

How to apply

Follow these steps to apply for any type of residential parking permit

Step 2: apply

After choosing a permit option, apply online by choosing the appropriate link below, or visit the Revenue Division during open counter hours. Forms are available at the counter if applying in person.

Virtual vehicle permit

For residents with DMV and proof of residency. Permits enforced by license plate

For residents waiting on DMV or proof of residency, or other temporary parking

Online 24-hour permits for guest parking (registered residents only)

Printable application form to submit by mail, email , or fax.

Special permit options

Active military personnel

Submit Military ID, DMV registration, and proof of residency for Virtual Permit

Temporary permits for students

Submit DMV registration, proof of residency, and class schedule each semester

Driver with DP permits

No permit required for resident. Apply for Visitor Permit for guest use.

Property owners (non-resident)

Choose Visitor Permit on form and upload current property tax statement

Business owners (non-resident)

Choose Virtual Vehicle Permit on form and upload DMV registration

Leased or company vehicles

Submit Company Vehicle Verification form along with all other required documents
