Residential Kitchen Remodel
Non-structural/non-floor-plan altering residential kitchen remodels
This category is not intended for permitting of repair work. It is limited to repair or replacement of a single kitchen appliance or plumbing fixture (e.g., kitchen sink, facet, dishwasher, kitchen hood, stove, etc.). Permits cover scopes of this kind will be issued single inspection permits.
Non-structural/non-floor plan altering residential kitchen remodels cannot include the following work.
- Removal or erection of any walls
- The creation of or enlargement of openings in any load bearing walls. Plans may be required to verify load bearing, non-load bearing status
Scopes which involve more than one item (whether it be a fixture, appliance or electrical circuit), but not a full remodel are charged a Building Permit Fee calculated from project value rather than as a flat fee.
