Deferred Submittals (Commercial Only)

This activity is used to track portions of a scope of work which were not included in the initially submitted drawing package. Some examples of potentially deferrable portions of a project are:

  • Fire Sprinklers 
  • Stair Systems 
  • Fire Alarm Systems 
  • Roof Trusses

Deferred submittal activities are not permits. Any scope of work presented as a deferred submittal must be clearly listed as deferred on the cover sheet of the permit plan set from which it was deferred.

Fire Department plan review fee

The fee is exclusively calculated and assessed by the Fire Department and varies based on the number of hours expended in Fire Plan Review.

Fire Department administrative fee

This fee is exclusively calculated and assessed by the Fire Department. It is charged on most activities for which the Fire Department performs plan review and/or field inspection.

Landscape document package application fee

Charged if submitted plans include landscape sheets.

Public works fee

This fee is calculated by the Public Works Staff in the Development Engineering Section. The fee is a function of the number of plan review hours expended reviewing the project.
