Initiative Petitions

INITIATIVE MEASURE TO IMPOSE A TRANSACTIONS AND USE TAX WITHIN THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO TO FUND TRANSIT OPERATIONS AND PROJECTS

A Notice of Intent to Circulate Petition and Request for Title and Summary for Initiative Ordinance (City of Sacramento Safe Streets and Affordable Transit Measure of 2026) was filed by Sacramentans for Safe Streets and Affordable Transit (SafeSacPAC) in the Office of the City Clerk on February 20, 2026. 

The City Attorney has prepared the Ballot Title and Summary which was submitted to the proponent on March 6, 2026.

 

A Notice of Intent to Circulate Petition and Request for Title and Summary for Initiative Ordinance (Ranked Choice Voting for Sacramento Act) was filed by in the Office of the City Clerk on March 4, 2026.
