On June 2, 2026, an election will be held for the following Sacramento City Council Offices:
The period in which prospective candidates may receive and file nomination packages will open February 9, 2026, and end March 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. The California Elections Code prohibits nomination documents from being distributed or received before or after these dates.
Prospective candidates must pick up and submit nomination documents at the Office of the City Clerk located at New City Hall 915 I Street, Sacramento CA 95814; between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The Office of the City Clerk will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
The California Elections Code prohibits nomination documents from being distributed or received prior to February 9, 2026.
In accordance with California Election Code 10224.5, the table below shall be updated with the names of all candidates issued nomination packages and indicate if a candidate is an incumbent councilmember.
