Sutter Park – Use Guidelines
Sutter Park is a neighborhood park designed for casual, everyday community use. Currently, the City of Sacramento does not issue picnic or special event permits for this location.
- No Special Event Permits
Sutter Park is not eligible for permitted special events. This includes gatherings or 50 or more that would normally require reservations or formal park use approval. - No Bounce Houses or Similar Structures
Because the park does not offer permitted picnic areas, inflatable bounce houses, shade structures, and other large event equipment are not allowed. - First-Come, First-Served Amenities
The limited amenities, including picnic tables, are available on a first come, first served basis only. Alternative Park Options for Larger Groups For celebrations, organized gatherings, or events with 50 or more attendees, please consider reserving one of the City’s community or regional parks. These locations offer multiple tables, shade structures, barbecues, and designated group areas that can be booked with a Certificate of Park Use.
