Indoor Rebates
The Department of Utilities offers several types of rebates for inside the home or business to help customers save water and money.
SMUD Energy Store
City of Sacramento has partnered with SMUD to offer instant rebates on items that save water.

Toilets
Older toilets can use more than four times more water per flush and are one of the largest water wasters in your home.
Eligible customers can receive a rebate of up to $175 to replace a pre-1992 toilet with a new ultra-high-efficiency Maximum Performance (MaP) Premium toilet rated at 1.1 gallons per flush or less.
There is no limit to the number of rebates you may request; however, rebate funds may not always be available.
How to Apply
- Check the approved MaP Premium toilet list and choose an eligible model
- Submit an online form or mail in a printed application
- Schedule a pre-inspection by calling 916-808-5605
- Receive approval from Water Conservation staff
- Remove and replace your old toilet(s)
- Submit receipts and photos of your new installed toilet(s)
