Well Site Feasibility Project

The Well Site Feasibility Project will help evaluate locations to construct replacement groundwater wells for drinking water.

This project involves the construction of test wells in multiple phases that will allow the City to evaluate groundwater aquifers in this area.

Upcoming work

Upcoming construction will occur at the Elkhorn Drinking Water Reservoir (1988 W Elkhorn Blvd.)

Construction is scheduled from Sept. 29 to Oct. 31 with expected nighttime activities from Oct. 6-8 and Oct. 13-17.

Because there may be periods where work will need to occur 24 hours a day, City staff are implementing several strategies to reduce disruptions, including:

• Installing equipment that will reduce construction noise overall
• Staging construction equipment to direct sound away from nearby residents
• Locating construction activities as far within the City's property line as is possible
