The Del Rio Trail Sewer Rehabilitation Project will repair a 65-year-old sewer main pipe in the South Land Park neighborhood to increase its lifespan for about 50 years.
The project will rehabilitate about one mile of existing 72-inch "combined" sewer main pipe with a new resin-infused liner to resist corrosion and root intrusion between Sutterville Road and Fruitridge Road.
Some access to the Del Rio Trail, Partner Park Dog Park, through streets and parking may be temporarily interrupted to accommodate active work vehicles.

This project is expected to cause minimal disruptions to sewer service for residents and businesses.
While no service disruptions are expected, residents and businesses will be notified at least 48 hours before any shutdown.
The project team will also conduct outreach in the project area before construction.
Access to businesses will remain open at all times.
Temporary closures may occur during the project, including:
Construction activities that temporarily block homes or businesses may be modified to allow residents and business owners access as needed.
City staff are working to minimize construction impacts to residents and businesses, which may include noise, dust, resin odors and vibrations.
Project costs are estimated to be up to $28 million, which will provide complete rehabilitation and preventive maintenance to the existing sewer pipe.
The City of Sacramento will be presenting at the Land Park Community Association’s (LPCA) Community Meeting on March 5 to provide residents information on the benefits of the Project, an overview of the work being carried out and the methods being utilized, and what impacts trail users and commuters can expect.
The LPCA is hosting the meeting at the Fairytale Town’s Children’s Theater and the City will be among a group of speakers.
Please visit the Land Park Community Association’s website for more information about the meeting.
