Residential recycling
Curbside collection of mixed recycling occurs every-other-week and is picked up on an A week or B week schedule.
Find your recycle day use our collection calendar.
The market for recyclable items is complicated, and so we must make better choices about reducing our reliance on plastics, reusing items where we can and putting the right items in the blue recycle bin. The presence of a recycling "Chasing Arrows" symbol does not always mean an item can be recycled in our facility, and some manufacturers may use the symbol without guaranteeing the item can be recycled. Senate Bill 343 was passed in 2021 to help ensure manufacturers are truthful in advertising with the recycling symbol.
Manufacturers who recycle materials have significantly changed what they will and won't accept, and so our list of recyclables can change.
