Latesha Pierce is a proud Sacramento native whose roots in North Sacramento continue to shape her passion for equity, access, and community wellness. Growing up in the city she now serves, she witnessed firsthand how connection to resources, representation, and support can change the course of someone’s life. These experiences grounded her belief that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves the same opportunities, visibility, and dignity.
For more than a decade, Latesha has been actively involved in community wellness, youth initiatives, housing navigation, and mental health support, including crisis support and stabilization, working alongside individuals and families navigating complex systems. She currently oversees a community wellness center focused on healing, dignity, and belonging, where she supports daily programming, engagement, linkage to outpatient mental health services, psychosocial rehabilitation groups, and resource connection.

In 2024, Latesha founded The Life Plug by Latesha, a resource concierge and employment support initiative that offers resume optimization and connects people to employment opportunities, career readiness supports, and essential services. Through this work, she also operates a public resource platform that shares information and community opportunities with the public. Grounded in the power of connection, representation, and the Sankofa principle, learning from the past to strengthen the future, Latesha remains deeply committed to giving back to the city that raised her by amplifying unheard voices, fostering trust across diverse communities, and building the relationships and resources that allow her community to thrive.
