Access Event Parking

Bus & RV Parking

Parking for large vehicles like charter buses, school buses, RVs, and trailers is available in downtown. Check for any posted signs, stall sizes, and payment rules. Space availability can change at any time.

Old Sacramento bus & RV parking

Bus parking: Located to the left upon entering the lot. There is no fee to park.

RV parking: Signs will show the parking fee and payment method. A flat fee covers up to 24 hours of parking.

Limited parking is available for buses and RVs at the back of the Sacramento Valley Amtrak facility (Lot 293). These spaces are accessible via 2nd Street from the Old Sacramento District. Reservations for these spaces are not allowed. Bus drivers can drop off passengers and then park for free nearby at the State Capitol while they wait.

Front Street parking

Free bus parking spaces are located on Front Street, south of O Street and Riverfront Promenade. Please note where bus parking spaces start and end on this section of the street. Bus parking is only on the street, not in any nearby parking lots.

Many on-street bus parking spaces are available around the State Capitol are limited.

State Capitol security does not permit overnight parking around the Capitol. Parking regulations are strictly enforced.

  • 15th Street, between L and N Streets, on the west side. (3-hour time limit)
  • East side of 10th st between L st / N st (this area is frequently posted for Special Events)
  • North side of L st between 12th st / 13th st (outside of the Hyatt Regency)

Alternative bus parking locations (meter & space reservation required)

These locations are available through the Meter & Space Reservation process. All applicable fees will be assessed. 

  • Meters on the West side of 3rd st between Capitol Mall / N st. (note the RT Bus stop cannot be blocked. Limited availability due to frequent Special Events) 
  • Pay-by-plate spaces on Railyards Blvd between Bercut Dr / 7th st. (Meter rate applies)
