Free motorcycle parking is available throughout downtown and midtown Sacramento

Motorized two or three-wheeled vehicles that are required by law to display a license plate must park on the street. Parking any motorized vehicle on the sidewalk or parkways is a violation of Sacramento City Code 10.36.060.

  • Parking in pedestrian right-of-ways, crosshatched sections on the street, or in cross-hatched sections parking lots is prohibited.

  • For safety reasons, garages owned by the City of Sacramento garages do not allow motorcycle parking. Gate arms are operated by a weight and size sensor system that cannot detect motorcyles for those vehicles and their riders to safely pass under. Any motorcycle spaces located inside or near a garage will not be beyond a gate arm entrance.
