Angie Eng is an intermedia artist, arts administrator, and educator with more than twenty years of experience building, funding, managing cultural initiatives and teaching in the United States and abroad. She has founded three cultural nonprofits combining her creative vision with her arts administration skills of budget tracking, fundraising, compliance reporting, contract coordination, marketing and community engagement. She has a professional development business, Creative Catalyzers, which offers grant consultation, writing, editing, 501c3 consultation, team-building and digital design.

Grant Writing Intensive for Creatives

This intensive grant writing course equips creatives, emerging grant writers, nonprofit professionals, and small business owners with practical strategies for finding funding opportunities, preparing competitive applications, and developing strong project narratives, budgets, and support materials. Through hands-on instruction and assignments, participants will leave with a draft of a project proposal, tailored artist or mission statement, professional bio/CV, work sample package, line-item budget, and reporting plan ready for future grant submissions.

4 Module Workshop on Grant writing

Course objectives include: develop a strategy for selecting grants, differentiate between funding sources, learn how to prepare materials, prepare effective work samples, improve documentation, write summaries using AI apps. Learn about local opportunities and grants listings, write effective budgets. This is an evening course that is 4 parts, 1.5 hours a session, 6 hours total, and taught online. Classes are recorded.

1:1 Mentoring and Grant Writing Tips

These 1:1 remote mentoring sessions will be offered on a needs basis. Artists can book 2-hour sessions with the instructor to assist them with a specific project proposal or application. These 1:1 sessions are geared more for the artist who has a specific grant in mind and needs consultation and mentorship to apply for the grant. There will be day, evening, and weekend hours available to fit different work schedules.

These private sessions will be available from October 1, 2026 -May 30th 2027. It does not include writing the grant or proposal for the artist.

These private sessions will take place on Zoom and artist will be provided a calendar of when they can book hours. Once they book a session, they will receive a confirmation. All sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled 72 hours in advance. No-shows will still be charged.
