Landscape Green Waste Recycling - Commercial Properties
Landscaping waste must be recycled
Properties that are businesses or have five dwelling units or more on a parcel, are considered commercial. Commercial properties must manage any green waste they generate by removing and recycling the material. Owners or property managers must also have an Organic Materials Compliance Form on file with the City with the Alternative Services section completed that includes information about the landscaping services used.
How to comply
- Submit and Organic Material Compliance Form with the Alternative Services section completed
- Ensure your landscape or gardening service contract includes removal of the material to one of the authorized green waste recycling locations listed below.
- If you manage your own landscaping, you must have organic recycling services at your property with enough capacity for both the green waste and food waste generated from your property.
- Contract with one of the City's current franchised haulers for green waste removal.
No street pickup for commercial green waste
Green waste from commercial properties is never permitted in a City street at any time. Property owners are responsible for the activities of their gardeners or landscaping services. Green waste found in a City street from a commercial property is considered illegal dumping and fines may be issued
