Standard Payment Plan
Standard payment plans are available for registered owners with more than $100 in citation fees and do not qualify for other repayment plans.
Registered owners with a boot unit on their vehicle may qualify for a payment plan to release the device.
Failure to pay citation fees may result in a vehicle's DMV hold impacting registration renewal.
Program details
- $25 processing fee is required at the time of application
- All outstanding with a combined total exceeding $100 will be places on the payment plan at the time of application.
- Maximum of one payment plan may be active at any time. New payment plans may only be processed with the payoff of an existing plan. A $25 processing fee will apply to the new plan.
- Payment plans must be paid off within 12 months with a minimum of $30/month
- Late fees and penalties are not waived under the standard payment plan
- State Surcharge of $12.50 per citation cannot be waived
- Payments due by the 1st of the month and no later than the 15th to avoid default
Application process
To apply for Standard Payment Plan, request an appointment.
An email with your appointment will be sent to the email address provided. Prior to the appointment, a representative will contact you with detailed instructions.
Ensure the correct email address was provided. Check spam or junk email folders to ensure receipt of all communications. The sender will appear as, "City of Sacramento, Revenue Division".
