Description

The Traffic Section supports the mission of the Sacramento Police Department (SPD) by enhancing traffic safety through Enforcement, Education, Engineering, and Engagement. These strategies seek to reduce collisions, DUI incidents, and illegal activities such as sideshows. Community partnerships are embraced, and technological innovations are paramount.

Our Teams

    Daytime Motors

    The daytime motors team consists of six officers and one sergeant.

    Night Motors

    The night motor team consists of five officers and one sergeant.

    The MCIU consists of five detectives, one community service officer, and one sergeant.
