Background and Mission Statement

The Information Security Office’s mission is to provide value to the City of Sacramento by managing the risks to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of City information assets through sound administrative, physical, and technical controls. The same security awareness that we give our City employees needs to be extended to citizens of Sacramento since technology is ubiquitous and prevalent in our lives and criminals exploit it to perpetrate unlawful acts. Cybersafe Sacramento was born to empower our citizens and give them the requisite knowledge and awareness to prevent and stop cybercrime!
