Hiring for position of Fire Recruit (EMT/Paramedic) June 3rd to July 7th 2024

Firefighter Recruit

Applications typically open between late spring and early summer.
You should have completed EMT or paramedic school by the previous December.
Get your course completion and pass the national registry for EMT or Paramedic.
Once the above is complete, register with FCTC and get on the state wide elegibility list.
When applications open SFD will pull the list of eligible candidates from FCTC and send inventations to apply for our department.

Sacramento firefighter volunteer reserves

We have two Reserve academies a year. One in the spring and one in the summer.
We are always accepting applications for reserves.
Visit the Sacramento Firefighter Volunteer Reserve's Website to apply now.
Once an application is submitted you will be invited to an interview when we're hiring.
