Scoping Meeting
On March 4, 2026, City staff held two public scoping meetings where agencies, tribes, and members of the public were inviteds to learn more about the environmental review process and provide input on the scope of the Plan’s Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR).

Planning and Design Commission
On November 13, 2025, City staff provided an overview of the River District Specific Plan Update and received feedback from the Commission on the Plan’s draft Vision and Guiding Principles. Community members were invited to attend and shared public comments at the meeting and online.

The following items are available online:

Interagency Focus Group
On October 28, 2025, City staff hosted an interagency focus group to provide an overview of the River District Specific Plan Update, hear from partner agencies that work in the area, and discuss opportunities for coordination and alignment.

Community Partner Round Table
On October 23, 2025, City staff held a roundtable discussion with River District businesses, organizations, residents, and service providers to share an overview of the planning process and gather feedback on community priorities and the draft Vision and Guiding Principles.

Friends of the River District Block Party
On June 26, 2025, City staff joined the River District PBID for a neighborhood block party at The Haley Apartments. Attendees shared what they love about the River District today and their ideas for its future.

Trails in Bloom
On April 26, 2025 staff attended the Trails in Bloom community event hosted by the River District PBID at Hanami Line Park, where they distributed project materials and answered questions about the Specific Plan Update.

Pop-up at Park Play Day
On July 30, 2024, City staff hosted a pop-up at River District Park where they introduced the Specific Plan Update to community members.
