Pubs, Clubs, and Bars (PCB) is a quarterly training conducted by the City of Sacramento to provide information to help nighttime businesses operate safely and successfully. Various departments and partners, including Code Compliance, the Sacramento Police Department, and the Sacramento Fire Department, provide training and information.

Safe Night Out Training
The City of Sacramento is partnering with WEAVE to put on a prevention program training for entertainment venues and the hospitality industry. The program aims to train staff on how to recognize warning signs of sexual and domestic violence, and how to respond to keep establishments and patrons safe. Silence Doesn't Work Here Training
The City of Sacramento is partnering with WEAVE to provide domestic violence awareness training for entertainment venues and the hospitality industry. Silence Doesn’t Work Here (SDWH) is a customizable program designed to help employers better recognize, respond, and refer employees experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

Stop the Bleed Training
This 90-minute class, taught by UC Davis Health trauma staff in collaboration with UC Davis Health, provides education and training on basic bleeding control. RSVP by emailing nighttime@cityofsacramento.org.

Active Shooter Response Training
The Sacramento Police Department, in partnership with the Office of Nighttime Economy, will conduct Active Shooter Response Training. This initiative aims to provide crucial information to assist hospitality and nighttime businesses in maintaining safe operational practices.

Naloxone Training for Hospitality Staff
This training provides hospitality and nighttime business staff with the knowledge and tools to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, including how to administer Narcan (naloxone). Given the rise in fentanyl-related deaths and accidental overdoses, it is beneficial for staff in public-facing businesses to be familiar with overdose signs and be trained to use Naloxone.
