open_in_full
The Florin Road Community Beautification Project, was funded by a $1.2 million Clean California grant which aimed to improve a stretch of Florin Road from Tamoshanter Way to Franklin Boulevard. The project, managed by the City of Sacramento, brought together community partners and stakeholders with a mission to reduce waste and debris, beautify and improve public spaces, and advance equity for the areas underserved communities. The project resulted in the installation of 29 amazing artworks, updated landscaping, additional public seating along transit lines, additional waste containers, and more than 1.2 million square feet of community space cleaned through a liter abatement internship offered to area youth.
