For over twenty years, the City of Sacramento has offered a highly successful recreation adult travel program. Enjoy site-seeing, shopping, dining and entertainment with us. Trips vary from affordable day trips to 10 day excursions. Transportation and accommodation fees are included in the trip cost.

Filoli Gardens Meet Rose Wonders!
Saturday, June 20 - $139
Meet Rose Wonders, Filoli’s 27-foot troll created by artist Thomas Dambo. Crafted from reclaimed materials, Rose has found her permanent home among Filoli’s towering redwoods. Her quiet curiosity and wide-eyed wonder invite visitors of all ages to explore themes of recycling, creativity, nature, and personal reflection. Guests can even climb through her cascading hair or stand in her hand for a special, up-close experience. During your visit, enjoy a self-guided tour of the historic Filoli estate—built in 1917 and known for its 36,000-square-foot Georgian mansion, 16-acre English garden, and Old World elegance. In June, the gardens come alive with camellias, peonies, roses, and lavender! Take your time exploring the house and grounds, enjoy lunch in the Café, or bring your own to eat in the picnic area.

Marine Mammal Center Tour Including Free Time in Sausalito

Nestled in the scenic Marin Headlands, The Marine Mammal Center is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating sick and injured marine mammals, including elephant seals, sea lions, whales, sea otters, harbor seals, dolphins, and other endangered species. As the world’s leading hospital for marine mammals, the Center provides life-saving care to more animals than any other facility. Join a docentled tour through the Center’s educational exhibits and patient observation areas to learn about the fascinating recovery stories and the incredible work of their dedicated volunteers. Next, travel to charming Sausalito and enjoy lunch on your own and free time to explore the shops and sights of this picturesque coastal town! Spaces for this tour are limited, so be sure to register in advance!

Gold Ridge Organic Farms Tour & Tasting Experience!
Thursday, August 13th - $143
Join a truly one-of-a-kind farm-to-table experience at award-winning Gold Ridge Organic Farms. Guests will enjoy a scenic apple-themed trolley ride through the orchard, offering sweeping views of Sonoma County’s rolling hills and insight into Gold Ridge Organic Farms’ organic growing practices. The experience also includes a tasting in the Tuscaninspired Tasting Room, featuring an intimate, guided sampling of Tuscan Blend Olive Oil, Apple Cider Balsamic, and Apple Cider Syrup. Guests will have time to browse the Farmshop, filled with thoughtfully curated goods and farm-fresh products —an ideal way to take a taste of the farm home.
The day concludes at Graton Resort & Casino, where guests can enjoy free time for lunch on your own, explore the casino floor, browse the shops, and take in the lively atmosphere—an enjoyable and relaxing finish to a memorable day. Spirit Guides at Sonoma Botanical Garden: A Senior Experience
Thursday, August 27th - $121
Join us for a unique visit to Sonoma Botanical Garden, a scenic 67 acre property in Sonoma Valley featuring Asian woodlands, native oak savanna, and a Cabernet vineyard. Enjoy a 1.5 hour guided tram and walking tour in small groups, including Spirit Guides, a vibrant outdoor exhibit of large scale sculptures by Mexican artists inspired by the Zapotec calendar. These imaginative hybrid animals serve as symbolic spirit guides and reflect a range of human personality traits. After the tour, we will head to Sonoma Plaza for free time to explore, shop, and enjoy lunch on your own. This limited time exhibition has limited spots, so be sure to register early.
Accessibility: This experience includes walking and multiple on and off tram stops. Some areas have limited or no tram access, with gravel paths, uneven terrain, and varying elevations that may be challenging for those with mobility concerns.
