Bertha Henschel Park

Restroom Replacement & Park Improvements Project address: 160 45th St. This project includes demolishing the existing restroom building, associated concrete flatwork, and the wood shade structure. Work also includes grading and preparing the pad and subgrade for a new 2‑stall prefabricated restroom; installing new sewer, water, and electrical utility connections; and completing the restroom installation. Additional site improvements consist of constructing a new concrete flatwork extension around the restroom, to the playground, and extending to La Purisima Way. The project will also replace the drinking fountain, basketball posts, backboards, and nets; apply an asphalt seal coat; and restripe the basketball court. There will be two picnic tables, two trash receptacles, and a concrete park name sign installed with site upgrades. Cove Park
Shade Canopy Installation Project address: 2950 Grassy Bank Dr. This project will install a 43' x 45' shade canopy standing 30' high over the existing playground. The existing playground ramp will also be demolished and reconstructed in a new location to accommodate the shade canopy. Construction is scheduled to begin about September 21 and is anticipated to be completed by mid-October 2026. Project manager: Dennis Day – DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Granite Park Soccer Field Fencing and Paving Project
Installation of new 6’ tube steel fencing around the existing all-weather soccer field with pedestrian gates and maintenance gates. This project also includes the installation of new concrete walkway to the all-weather field and installation of new boulders around the natural turf fields with bollards to only allow pedestrian access to the fields. Lakeshore Park
Project address, 5424 Lopez Lake Way. This is a new 2.22 acre park in the Greenbriar Phase 2 development. The improvements at this park consist of two group picnic area overlook a lake, playground, walkway, open turf, seating, and shade trees. Project anticipated to be completed at the end of July 2026. North Natomas Regional Park – Phase 7 Great Meadow 
Development of 5.32-acres of the regional park. Improvements consist of installation of open turf, concrete walkways, picnic areas and bark mulch planters. The existing trees in this area will be preserved and incorporated within the new improvements. This project is anticipated to be completed by Spring 2027. Shasta Community Park

Soccer Field Renovation Project address: 7407 Imagination Pkwy. This project involves renovating the regulation soccer field by removing the existing weed‑filled turf, adding 600 cubic yards of mulch, performing finish grading, applying turf hydroseed, and providing a 90‑day turf establishment and maintenance period. Construction began in April and is anticipated to be completed by Mid-September 2026. Project manager: Dennis Day – DDay@cityofsacramento.org

Sunhaven Park
Project address, 3624 Kona Kai Way. This is a new 2.4 acre park in the Greenbriar Phase 2 development. The improvements at this park consist of group picnic area, playground, walkway, open turf, seating, and shade trees. Project anticipated to be completed at the end of July 2026. Tanzanite Park Lighting Improvement Project
Tanzanite Park is an existing 23.5-acre community park located at 2220 Tanzanite Avenue in Sacramento, California. The Tanzanite Park Lighting Improvements Project includes new parking lot lighting, pathway lighting throughout the park, and lighting for the futsal court.
