What is Sustainability Starts with Us?
"Sustainability Starts with Us" is a city-wide campaign dedicated to advancing climate equity and fostering a culture of sustainability throughout Sacramento, in line with the City’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045.
This campaign is part of the Climate Action & Sustainability Team's work to demystify sustainability and climate action, partner on inclusive community engagement, and collaborate on meaningful action. We aim to sustain Sacramento as a thriving, resilient community, especially in our historically disinvested communities where the effects of climate change on residents are most challenging.
We recognize that achieving sustainability requires sustained commitment from each of us, and will greatly benefit each of us and generations to come. We hope to empower all Sacramentans to take impactful steps towards addressing climate change, alongside the ongoing efforts led by the City.
