Zoning and Entitlements
The City of Sacramento, Planning Division, reviews development proposals for consistency with adopted policy, development standards, and design guidelines. Some development projects require the submittal of a planning application to approve a planning permit, also referred to as an "entitlement." Depending on the scope of the project, a planning application may require discretionary or ministial review, and may be decided at a staff level or require a public hearing.
