Where To Park

Free parking is available nearby in the parking lot at Health Professions High School (451 McClatchy Way).


The parking lot is located one block north of the Marina Vista Community Center and Seavey Circle.

What to know before you go

  • Vaccines and microchips are available while supplies last and time permits
  • No appointment needed
  • This is a walk-up clinic and not a drive-thru clinic
  • Walk-ups will not be accepted after 10:30 am
  • Your dog(s) must be on a leash
  • Your cat(s) must be in a secured pet carrier

Free vaccinations

  • DHPP vaccine for dogs 8 weeks and older
  • FVRCP vaccine for cats 8 weeks and older
  • Rabies vaccine for dogs and cats 16 weeks and older

Free microchip

  • Includes registration of the microchip with a national microchip registry

Free pet license

  • To be eligible, the pet owner must reside within the city limits of Sacramento and the pet has never been licensed with the City of Sacramento
  • License tag will be mailed within 6-8 weeks after the clinic
  • License is valid for 1 year and must be renewed afterwards for a fee
  • Licenses will be available for purchase during the clinic

Sacramento SPCA

The Sacramento SPCA's vaccination clinic is available by appointment only. Due to high demand, appointments may be booked out weeks in advance. To request an appointment, visit the Sacramento SPCA.

The Sacramento SPCA offers free vaccines for pets of Senior Citizens (65 and over). To request an appointment, visit the Sacramento SPCA.

VIP Petcare

VIP Petcare offers low-cost vaccinations at various retail stores throughout the greater Sacramento region and Northern California. In addition, they offer other services such as microchipping, testing, deworming, heartworm preventative, and flea and tick control.
