BEGINNING ON NOVEMBER 8, 2026: Due to increased costs in services and high demand of Sacramento residents, we will now be requiring proof of residency within the City of Sacramento. Evidence of residency will require a photo ID showing a Sacramento City address or a photo ID along with a Sacramento utility bill (from the last 90 days), a lease agreement, or a bank statement.
Limited parking is available in the gravel lot. Do NOT park at the California Auto Museum or in spaces where signs are posted. Vehicle towing will be enforced.

- Bring your photo ID showing your name and your City of Sacramento address
- If your photo ID shows an old address, please bring your photo ID + proof of your current City of Sacramento residence, such as your Sacramento utility bill (from the last 90 days), your lease agreement, your bank statement, etc.
Not Sure If You Live Within the City Limits of Sacramento?
A Sacramento address doesn't always mean you're a City of Sacramento resident.
- If your street sign on the corner is green-colored, then you are a City of Sacramento resident. If your street sign is white-colored, then you are a County of Sacramento resident.
- If you are serviced by Sacramento Police, then you are a City of Sacramento resident. If you are serviced by Sacramento County Sheriff, then you are a County of Sacramento resident.
You can also verify your address by using this online map viewer. After you enter your address, check the Property Information box and look for the Jurisdiction. If it shows "City of Sacramento", then you are a City of Sacramento resident.
What to know before you go
- This is a walk-up clinic and not a drive-thru clinic
- No appointment needed
- Walk-ups will not be accepted after 10:30 am
- Vaccines and microchips are available while supplies last and time permits
- Your dog(s) must be on a leash
- Your cat(s) must be in a secured pet carrier
Free vaccinations
- DHPP vaccine for dogs 8 weeks and older
- FVRCP vaccine for cats 8 weeks and older
- Rabies vaccine for dogs and cats 16 weeks and older
Free microchip
- Includes registration of the microchip with a national microchip registry
Free pet license
- To be eligible, the pet owner must reside within the city limits of Sacramento and the pet has never been licensed with the City of Sacramento
- License tag will be mailed within 6-8 weeks after the clinic
- License is valid for 1 year and must be renewed afterwards for a fee
- Licenses will be available for purchase during the clinic
