Welcome to the Front Street Animal Shelter

About

The Front Street Animal Shelter serves the City of Sacramento to shelter lost and stray animals while enforcing local and state animal welfare laws. Our diverse range of adoption, volunteer, and public outreach programs reflect our commitment to improving animal welfare throughout our community.

adopt a senior pet

Have you ever adopted a senior pet or are you lucky enough to have one now?

There's something truly special about senior pets. With years of life and love already behind them, they know how to savor the little things.

Opening your heart and home to a senior pet means giving them the gift of comfort in their golden years. In return, they'll fill your days with unconditional love. It's an honor to be an animal's last forever home.
