The Front Street Animal Shelter serves the City of Sacramento to shelter lost and stray animals while enforcing local and state animal welfare laws. Our diverse range of adoption, volunteer, and public outreach programs reflect our commitment to improving animal welfare throughout our community.

In Honor of Presidents Day

 

The Front Street Animal Shelter will be CLOSED on Monday, February 16 in honor of Presidents Day.

 

We will re-open the following day on Tuesday, February 16 at 12:00 pm.

Pet food giveaway closes at 11:30 am each Tuesday

 

Starting on Tuesday, August 5, the Front Street Animal Shelter's Pet Food Pantry will close at 11:30 am each Tuesday. Previously, the closing time was 12:00 pm.

 

The pet food pantry will still open at 10:00 am every Tuesday morning in the shelter's parking lot.
