The City of Sacramento, under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, ensures that no person shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Any person who believes that they have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability may file a Title VI complaint with the Department of Public Works. The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the date of the alleged discrimination.
