The Office of Arts and Culture plays a significant role in providing funding to the creative economy. Funding programs focus on individual artists, art and cultural nonprofits, creative businesses, and grassroots arts projects.

Office of Arts and Culture staff review applications only for completion and eligibility, while a review panel composed of diverse and experienced regional and national arts and nonprofit professionals evaluate the proposals. The panel uses a scoring system to evaluate each section of the proposal; funding decisions are not made by staff.
