Zion Taddese, Sheba Farms Foundation

ion F.A. Taddese is a Sacramento-based entrepreneur, advocate, and innovator with a passion for community empowerment and economic justice. For over 18 years, she has served the Sacramento community by providing Ethiopian, vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, and healthy food through her renowned Queen Sheba Restaurant. Expanding her vision, she is launching Sheba’s Café, offering an authentic Ethiopian coffee experience to enrich the city’s cultural and culinary landscape. Zion is also the founder and CEO of Sheba Farms Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to healthy foods, addressing climate change, and fostering environmental justice.

Beyond her business ventures, Zion actively contributes to social and economic equity initiatives. From March to June 2024, she served as an Economic Mobility Ambassador for the City Level Reparations Community Engagement (CLRCE) program, advocating for policies and programs that support historically marginalized communities. She is also the founder of Shashemonie, LLC and Shashemene Land, LLC, both aimed at holistic health and economic justice, as well as Sheba Farms LLC, which promotes sustainable Teff cultivation. Through her leadership and advocacy, Zion continues to create meaningful change for underserved populations.
