Kris has dedicated over 20 years to a non-profit organization as an Outreach and Community Engagement Manager, overseeing various programs and development initiatives in Sacramento. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, along with certifications as an Aging in Place Specialist and Disrupt Aging Facilitator. Her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to advocating for the AAPI and LGBTQ communities have established her as a luminary in her field. Kris's passion for community outreach and education is evident in her transformative workshops on family and ally caregiving. Her relentless advocacy for the well-being of older LGBTQ adults is exemplified by her pivotal role in the passage of the HIV and Aging Act, where her strategic research and analytical expertise were crucial in securing support from various non-profit organizations for this vital legislation.
Kris is actively involved in numerous organizations, including the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce and the Sacramento Asian Chamber of Commerce, where she serves on the Board of Directors for both chambers. Additionally, she is a Fellow with the Equality California Leadership Program and a member of the Task Force for the Sacramento Police LGBTQ Community Advisory Team. Before her current role, Kris worked as an administrative supervisor for the Alaska Department of Labor in Anchorage. In her free time, she leads fundraising events for non-profit organizations that support underserved communities, with notable initiatives including Alaska’s inaugural "Biking for AIDS" and the development of the "Breast Cancer Awareness Program" in Anchorage. Her efforts in fundraising, such as the “Fund for Prescription Drugs,” “Pennies from Heaven,” the “Honolulu Marathon for Leukemia,” and the million-dollar “Together for Tomorrow” event for a local hospital, have garnered widespread recognition.
