Who is eligible for Business Solutions Center services?

To qualify, you must operate a for-profit business with an address in the City of Sacramento. Use this this verification tool. to check if you're eligible.

I submitted a 311 request but haven't received a response. What should I do?

If you haven’t heard back in 7 business days, email smallbusiness@cityofsacramento.org. The issue may be due to submitting a general request instead of a "Business Resources" request.

I am in the City's 311 portal, but I don't see "Business Resources" as an option. What should I do?

To ensure your 311 request gets to us, you must submit a "Business Resources" request. If you don't see "Business Resources" as an option, please navigate back to the "Verify Contact Information" and ensure you mark yes for the "Business Case?" question. Please see Step 6 on page 28 of 34 of this instruction guide.

I am trying to add my business to my 311 profile, but the system won’t accept my address. What should I do?

This may be because the address you're entering is not located within the City of Sacramento.  Please use this verification tool to check if your address is within city limits. Only businesses with an address within Sacramento city limits are eligible to create a business profile and submit service requests in 311.

Why am I being referred to a non-City organization for business counseling?

The City partners with California Capital to provide expert business counseling at no cost to you.

Staff are based at City Hall, 915 I Street. There is no walk-in service; please submit a request via the 311 portal or email smallbusiness@cityofsacramento.org to schedule an appointment.
