Access Leisure Youth & Teens

Our goal is to provide safe, fun and inclusive community programs, social programs and inclusion support for youth and teens with disabilities. A variety of youth and teen programming occurs year round from Teen Program, Camps, Community outings and so much more! Below is information on current programs, upcoming activities/events and how to register for those activities.

Youth

Art

Let's get creative! Come join Access Leisure for an opportunity to learn about influential artists and practice a new art skill. Together, youth will engage with history and technique of the artist for that day then try that medium out themselves! Activity Fee: $8

Dance

Let's get our groove on! In this dance series, youth will explore and learn different dance movements and creatively express themselves through body movement. We will play dance and rhythm games, interact positively with peers and have fun! No dance experience needed. Activity Fee: $8

Summer Camp

Summer is here and so is CAMP! Join Access Leisure for a fun filled week of games, art, friends and more. Campers will engage in positive, creative, active and social experiences with peers to bring their full summer camp adventure to life.

Sensory Swim

Join us in having some sensory friendly summer time fun at our Sensory Swim program! In support with Access Leisure, the pool will be open for youth with disabilities and different sensory needs to enjoy the pool with their family. On Thursdays - begins June 18th, check out registration link for additional dates.

Inclusive Playdates

Join us in experiencing fun and inclusive play with youth (ages 3 - 12) of all abilities! Exploration and connection happen with playground features, organized activities, making friends, local resources, crafts, and more! Season is from April through August

Saturdays, 10am-12pm, Free, Location: Southside Park

Teen

Teen Day Out (TDO)

Teen Day Out is an opportunity for teens with disabilities to be out in the community and explore all that the city has to offer safely with peers (ages 13-22)!

The Hangout

The Hangout is a program where teens create connections with peers and community, learn personal and life skills/goals, practice positive interactions, create and have fun! This is an after school program developed for teens with disabilities (ages 13 - 22). 

Every Tue & Thu, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm:

Sensory Swim

Get your water movement on! Join us for our aqua movement and social swim for teens with disabilities ages 13 - 22. We will be moving and grooving to music in the water while we participate in some strength training exercises and light cardio then social swim! On Fridays - begins June 19th, check out registration link for additional dates.

Holiday Sip and Sing 2026

Access Leisure invites ALL of our participants to join in on the holiday cheer with some holidays sing-a-long and hot chocolate!

Need Financial Assistance?

Access Leisure has created a scholarship program, THE ACCESS LEISURE FUN PASS! The application is easy to fill out and the process time is short. As a reminder, if you received a fun pass for the 2025 calendar year, any remaining funds would not roll over. You would need to submit a NEW FORM for 2026.
