Commerical service guide

The City of Sacramento released its first ever Commercial Service Guide in June 2025! Commercial property owners and property managers will receive a physical copy to the commercial property billing address. 

The guide will help commercial properties (including multilfamily properties with 5 or more units) understand solid waste and recycling requirements, including required services, bin placement, commercial generator rights, private hauler service agreements, sorting guides and more!

Commercial generators are encouraged to contact their commercial solid waste hauler for education and outreach materials. The City has also posted some of the most commonly used bin labels created by several City of Sacramento commercial franchised haulers for each line of service below:
