The Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Civic Engagement Division, is excited to continue engaging our youth through the Youth Civic Engagement Unit. The goal of the Youth Civic Engagement Team is to empower Sacramento's youth citywide with knowledge, resources and opportunities to advocate and engage within their communities. The Sacramento Youth Commission (SYC) is currently a component of Youth Civic Engagement. This program educates youth and provides them with the tools to navigate local government, become advocates in their communities and become more civically engaged.
