Silver Eagle Sewer and Road Improvement Project

Staff from City's Utilities and Public Works departments will soon improve several sections of sewer and road in the Johnson Heights, Strawberry Manor and Gardenland neighborhoods.

To improve sewer flows, a sewer main will be increased in size on Silver Eagle Road and a sewer main on will be decreased in size on Mabel Street.

The road will also be re-paved from San Juan Road and Northgate Boulevard to Silver Eagle Road and Norwood Avenue.

City staff are working to minimize impacts from the project.

Traffic may be effected during construction hours -- which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. -- and a City-hired contractor will maintain the flow of traffic for all properties and businesses in the area.

Project cost

The estimated project cost is $3,500,000, which is being funded with $2,100,000 of Department of Utilities wastewater funds and $1,400,000 of Public Works funds.

Schedule

Construction is expected to last from September 2023 to Spring 2024.
